Citizens Advice Chiltern is a small, independent charity. We are part of the Citizens Advice network of independent charities but do not receive central core funding.
We use trained volunteer advisers to keep our costs low. However we have to raise our own funds to keep supporting the people who walk through our door or call us on the phone.

How to leave us a legacy
If you don’t have a Will, having one written is a lot easier than you think.
As an independent charity, we rely on the support of members of the public – people like you. By adding us to your Will, you can help secure not just our future, but the future of your community.
Making or changing a Will is easy – but we do recommend you use a solicitor. Every adult should have a Will, regardless of their age, income or wealth – it is the only way of ensuring your wishes are met after your death.
Gifts left to charities in Wills – usually known as legacies – don’t need to be large, and they don’t prevent you from taking care of your family and loved ones. In fact, a legacy to a charity can ease the burden of Inheritance Tax.
As we move into the future, legacies are becoming an increasingly vital form of income for all charities, including Chiltern Citizens Advice Bureau. If you would like to talk to someone about leaving a legacy to Chiltern Citizens Advice Bureau, please contact your solicitor, or us in writing, by phone or email so that we can help you to set up the arrangement that suits you.
