AGM event, December 2016
Citizens Advice Chiltern’s AGM event was well attended by local supporters with Guest speaker Dominic Grieve QC MP who spoke about our “astonishingly diverse service provision which offers the right advice to so many people”.
District Manager of Citizens Advice Chiltern, Jennifer Allott, thanked the 73 volunteers and 24 staff who help deliver an outstanding service centred around the client. She gave an example of recent changes in welfare reform which have left many people digitally excluded, struggling to access online services or claim the benefits they need because of illiteracy, disability, poverty or lack of support. She said, “Following our research into this growing problem, we are working with other local services and introducing a kiosk in our Chesham office to offer people support with online applications and accessing the right help.”
