MERGED CITIZENS ADVICE TO PROVIDE SINGLE SERVICE FOR RESIDENTS IN BUCKS
CITIZENS ADVICE BUCKS APPOINT NEW CEO
The 3 Bucks-based Citizens Advice Bureaux have signed agreements to merge to provide a single pan-Bucks service for Buckinghamshire residents. Citizens Advice in Aylesbury Vale, High Wycombe District and Chiltern have agreed to merge by April 1st next year. They have been working very closely together for several months to jointly deliver their advice services, especially to those people hardest hit economically and socially by the pandemic.
They also have announced the appointment of Thalia Jervis as CEO of the new organisation who will be working to achieve a smooth integration of services before the formal merger takes place. She was previously Chief Executive of Healthwatch Bucks and so has a deep understanding of issues affecting Bucks residents.
She commented ‘I am thrilled to have a role that builds both on my commitment to the residents of Buckinghamshire and to reaching out to those most in need of support in our community. There are exciting changes ahead as Citizens Advice in Buckinghamshire becomes a single organisation. My focus will be on working to make sure that we are providing the best possible support to the residents of Buckinghamshire whoever they are and whatever their problems.’
Citizens Advice provides free, confidential advice and support on a range of issues, including Debt, Benefits, Employment, Housing, Family, Immigration and Retail issues. The central Citizens Advice website (www.citizensadvice.org.uk) contains a wealth of information and advice on these issues - many people will find all they need to solve their problems there.
